STOCKHOLM FURNITURE FAIR stand A21:22
Blond Belysning Ab is launching a new large pendant light called KULHO. Kulho can be manufactured from different materials like solid wood, plywood or MDF-board. Kulho comes in different colors and leaves to interior designer a lot of choices of colors.
Beside the Kulho Blond is also showing KIVI pendant and floor lights which were designed 2011.

HIRAMEKI Design x Finland exhibition is presenting a representative group of today's brightest designer names along with companies utilising design in a key way.
Timo Ripatti is exhibiting a new special version of upholstery for ELLIPSE XL chair. This upholstery is designed in co-operation with textile artist and graphic designer Tiina Ripatti. Other objects to be exhibited are CW01 wooden chair and GRAPHIC light. These both are new prototypes and are designed and produced especially for this exhibition.

Ornamo and Grafia Finnish Designer Awards 2010
Finnish Designer Awards 2010
Association of professional graphic designers Grafia and Finnish Association of Designers Ornamo award annually six distinguished designers. Finnish Designer Awards have been now selected for the year 2010.
The Finnish Designer Awards concept has been revamped:
from this year the awards will be given in mid January. The aim of this change is to enhance the exhibition’s international tour. The Finnish Designer Awards ‘10 publication will be published in January 2010 together with the exhibition at Design Forum Finland in Helsinki.

Interior Architect Timo Ripatti's designs represent absolute designer character, confidence and topical vision. He also got the 2009 Furniture Award for the design of ELLIPSE chair awarded by the Association of Interior Architects SIO.

ELLIPSE chair designed by Timo Ripatti wins 2009 SIO Furniture Award
The Finnish Association of Interior Architects SIO has selected the ELLIPSE chair as its 2009 Furniture of the Year. This honorary award was presented in the Ahead! Design District of the Habitare 09 trade fair on 9 September 2009 to the designer of the chair, SIO Interior Architect Timo Ripatti, and to its manufacturer, Vivero Oy.
The award committee issued the following statement explaining its choice:
"Timo Ripatti's work exemplifies the confidence and contemporary vision of a characteristically uncompromising designer. As a three-dimensional item, ELLIPSE is graphically and sculpturally well balanced. The dimensions of the chair have been considered with great care and its details have been settled with firm resolve. The minimalist lightweight leg structure emphasises the plasticity and powerfully independent form of the seat. The technical aspects of manufacture are of the highest standard and the item is fully finished in every detail. ELLIPSE is ideally suited to its purpose of enabling impressive seating arrangements in public buildings."
